The most common way from the Airport is the S-Bahn S8, S9 from “Regionalbahnhof” directly to the “Hauptwache”. Than take the subway U6/U7 to the “Leipzigerstrasse”, direction “Hausen” or “Heerstrasse” and get off “Leipzigerstrasse”.  Alternatively, get off at the “Hauptbahnhof”. and go ahead with U4 direction “Bockenheimer Warte”, than change to U6/U7 or go directly with the S-Bahn to Westbahnhof”. If you arrive on Terminal 2, follow the signs for the “Sky Line”. A elevated railway will take you fast to Terminal 1. Timetables : http://www.rmv.de

Directions from the terminals to the station
(Google does not show all connections):
Terminal 1, Terminal 2

Be aware at the Airport for unexpected traffic changes. In this case it could make sense to use the “Fernbahnhof“, which is a view minutes further away from the terminals.

Trade fair
It is especially convenient and easy to get to the Frankfurt exhibition grounds by bus and train. Via electronic timetable information, you get your best connection.
The exhibition ground can be reached either by 15 minutes footpath, or in less of 10 minutes taking the S-Bahn S3, S4, S5 and S6 via the station “Messe” (entrance „gate house“) or by the underground U4. Nicer to drive, but a bit longer in time are the trams 16 and 17 or the bus line 50 to the stop “Festhalle / Messe “(Inputs City and Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage). In order to avoid long distances on the exhibition ground, please inform yourself which entrance is best for you.

Tickets
The best way to buy your ticket is to use the Traffic app. But be aware that in the fair entrance ticket, the ticket for local public transport is included in almost all trade fairs . A corresponding note is printed on the admission ticket. This means that the cardholders are entitled to use all transport means of the „RMV“ (S-Bahn/U-Bahn/Tram) in the second class with their admission ticket. Whoever buys his ticket at the day’s cash desk is given the right to return at the same time. The KombiTicket agreement is valid for round-trip tickets for tickets purchased in advance. Important: the date must be entered on the card.

In the case of multi-day and exhibitor passes, the validity extends over the entire duration of the trade fair. The KombiTicket has no validity for vouchers, the exhibitors distribute, and in the case of press cards student cards as well as annual tickets. For arrivals and departures, additional S-Bahn and U-Bahn lines are used, which are not included in the timetable information.
